Rebuilding a Hawker Typhoon?!

We have been following this incredible project to rebuild a Hawker Typhoon, and wanted to share it with you. This is no easy feat - a challenging project, but this team are making it happen. Scheduled to take 5 years and cost over £5 Million! The Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group is the charity established to provide the framework for what they do on this project. It governs the way they do things, and provides supporters with peace of mind, that they are giving to a regulated body not just a random group of people drinking tea, eating biscuits and talking about vintage aircraft. The project to rebuild this aircraft is approximately a five year build, however that is reliant on funding and without the support they need, it could take much longer. Approximately 80% of this structure is original material as well, further adding to is significance and providence.
